In 1933, the present site at Castle Mills, Kendal, was purchased
and the manufacturer of spool Axminster carpets began initially in narrow
widths & subsequently in the twelve-foot wide carpets so popular
today. Good Acre joined the Melton Medes group in December 1984 and has become a highly successful part of the carpets and textile division. |
